In celebration of its 60th anniversary, PizzaExpress is marking the milestone with a brand-new menu launching nationwide on Tuesday, 11th March.
The refreshed menu reimagines classic fan favourites and introduces bold new flavours, making it the pizzeria’s most exciting offering yet.
A royal addition to the menu
Among the standout additions is the Queen Margherita – a luxurious twist on the beloved Margherita pizza, now crowned with an entire ball of creamy burrata atop a garlic and mozzarella base.
Dough Balls with a twist
PizzaExpress’ iconic Dough Balls have also undergone a transformation, with two new variants hitting the menu:
Blazing Hot Dough Balls – Created in collaboration with Sauce Shop, these fiery Dough Balls are coated in melted garlic butter and packed with the heat of Original Hot Sauce, served with an extra side of dipping sauce for spice lovers.
Golden Caramel Chocolate Dough Balls – A decadent dessert drizzled with salted caramel sauce and caramel chocolate dip, dusted with gold for a celebratory touch.
Celebrating 60 years with Italian-inspired creations
Honouring its Italian heritage, PizzaExpress has also crafted four new dishes inspired by different regions of Italy:
Romana Calabrian Hot – A fiery combination of spicy ‘nduja, pepperoni, hot red chilli, and tomato, finished with a drizzle of hot honey.
Romana Lombardy Speciale – A fresh spring-inspired pizza featuring bresaola, Italian artichokes, and peppery rocket on a bechamel base, topped with truffle and lemon dressing and Gran Milano shavings.
Romana Spicy Melanzane – A vegan delight of chargrilled aubergines, tomato, garlic, smoky chilli, and jalapeno peppers, topped with vegan mozzarella.
Meatballs Al Forno – Tender beef meatballs baked in a rich tomato and garlic sauce with a hint of chilli, finished with Gran Milano and served with toasted Dough Sticks.
Raising a glass to 60 years
To toast the occasion, PizzaExpress has teamed up with Meantime Brewing Company to create the Birthday Brew IPA – a peachy, tropical-flavoured beer designed to complement the new menu.
